Familiarize Yourselves with the Characters of the Netherworld, Otherworld, and Underworld Found in Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Novels

Here is what you will most likely find in most Urban Fantasy books:

The settings:  Modern-day shopping centers such as malls, cafe, dancehalls, clubs, fitness centers, airports or any other places you may imagine.  Think about major metropolitan areas such as New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, France, England etc.  Think about and contrast the New World vs. the Old World. 

The characters will contain some variation of the following:  Zombies, Ninjas, Pirates, Vampires, and Trolls, Fairy tales, fairy stories, all fairy tales,

The Terms:  Netherworld, borderland, aliens, otherworld, impossible love, battle between the forces of Good and evil etc.
